Who I Am

I'm Swapnil — a full-stack web and WordPress developer, UI designer, and full-time freelancer. Most of my client work involves building and customizing websites end to end: front-end UI, back-end logic, WordPress builds and migrations, analytics and tracking setup (GA4, GTM, conversion tracking), and automation that ties different tools together so clients don't have to do repetitive work by hand.

Education

I didn't finish a traditional engineering degree — I dropped out partway through a B.Tech, then went back and completed a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) followed by an MCA (Master of Computer Applications). Most of what I actually use day to day, though, came from shipping real client projects for years as a freelancer, not from a classroom.

Why I Built Hex Calculator

This site exists because of a genuinely boring, recurring problem: as a developer, I constantly needed to convert hex values — colors, bitmasks, encoded strings, timestamps, IP addresses — and kept bouncing between a handful of single-purpose converter sites, none of which showed their work or covered the specific conversion I needed that day. So I built one all-in-one hex converter for myself, added tools to it as I needed them, and started using it in my own local dev work regularly.

Once I realized how often I reached for it, and saw how many other developers were clearly stuck googling one-off hex conversions and getting inconsistent answers, I decided to clean it up, document how every calculation actually works, and put it online properly instead of keeping it as a personal script. That's Hex Calculator. I hope it saves you the same time it saves me.
