  • Bitwise operations, checksums, CRC, and low-level programming concepts
  • Networking topics where hex shows up — IP addressing, MAC addresses, packet captures
  • Language-specific guides — how a specific language handles hex literals or conversions

Content Requirements

  • 1,200+ words, in-depth enough to actually teach something
  • 100% original and unpublished — not posted elsewhere first, not spun or AI-generated filler
  • Technically accurate — code examples must actually run, conversions must actually be correct
  • Written in plain language first, jargon explained when it's unavoidable
  • Backed by real examples, not abstract theory alone

Formatting Guidelines

Loosely modeled on standard editorial practice for technical guest posts (see HubSpot's guest blogging guidelines for a widely-used reference point):

  • Clear H2/H3 structure — no wall-of-text sections
  • Short paragraphs (2-4 sentences), scannable on mobile
  • Code blocks properly formatted and language-tagged
  • One introduction that states what the reader will walk away knowing
  • A short author bio (2-3 sentences) with one link to your site or profile

Linking Policy

  • Up to 2 contextual links to your own site or work, only where genuinely relevant to the sentence
  • Links to authoritative external sources (MDN, W3Schools, Wikipedia, official docs) are welcome and encouraged
  • We review every outbound link before publishing and may set any link to nofollow at our discretion
  • No link farms, no paid link placements disguised as editorial, no affiliate links
  • No exact-match keyword anchor text stuffing

What Gets Rejected

  • Thin content that could be a tweet, padded to look like an article
  • AI-generated or AI-spun text presented as original writing
  • Topics with no real connection to hex, number systems, or the site's niche
  • Duplicate or lightly-reworded content published elsewhere
  • Pitches that are really just an ad for a product or service

Editorial Rights

We may edit for clarity, style, accuracy, and SEO structure before publishing, and we choose the final headline and meta description. We'll always preserve your byline and bio link. We reserve the right to decline a pitch or a draft without extensive feedback — this is a small, personally-run site, not an editorial team.

How to Pitch

  • 2-3 specific topic ideas (not just a general subject area)
  • A link to writing samples or previous published work
  • A one-line note on your relevant background or expertise
